The game has a release date, and it’ll be almost everywhere on October 13, 2020. There were games resurfacing at the showcase that we already knew about, like Empire of Sin and Crusader Kings 3, as well as brand new indie games like charming mailman delivery sim Lake, and 2D hack-and-slash Gestalt: Steam and Cinder. Torchlight 3 is almost ready to leave Early Access. We also just saw a bunch of new trailers from Guerrilla Collective, an indie showcase from the Media Indie Exchange and Kinda Funny. Torchlight 3 is just one of many games lined up to show off new trailers and announcements at today's PC Gaming Show. On top of this, the game is available in early access for $29.99. The fact that this feature is missing from the final release of Torchlight 3 is baffling. I had so much fun playing Torchlight 2 on the Switch by making my play session public and allowing random players to drop in and out to help me out on my questing. N interview with a Torchlight 3 dev in the PC Gaming Show revealed that you can customize your own fort in the game. The most glaring omission in Torchlight 3 is the lack of random multiplayer matchmaking. Additionally, Torchlight: Frontiers was originally a free-to-play game, but you're going to have to pay up front for Torchlight 3. Torchlight 3 does hit all the action RPG checkpoints. Torchlight 3 can be played both offline and online, and the story will unfold in a traditional RPG fashion. Torchlight 3 remains a tight, low-stakes, click-heavy Diablo-like, but it doesnt quite have the same magnetic allure it did a decade ago. Thats right, on the 13th October, Torchlight III will release in its finished form (not counting any post-release updates) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
